Time for Holiday Presents!!!

So, it is well before noon, and I'm sitting at my computer writing to you.

Damn, think this is slavery or what?

A girl can't get enough sleep now-a-days. This holiday shuffle seems to start earlier each year (not that I would know…too young to remember that far back. LoL).

Actually, I'll try to be slightly serious for this post. Let me chug my coffee and then I'll continue…

Okay, now I'm ready. More than ready.

So, in these hectic and stressful days leading up to the big day, I need a magic recipe to calm me down. Think about it, there is so much to do: parties, shopping, deadlines, people coming in and out of your nights that you haven't seen in ages…and each one of those 'events' are things I typically thrive on, but when you throw them together, it is overwhelming. And because I don't want to ruin my Thursday nights with an unnecessary support meeting, I turn to reading in order to relax. Now, the problem is, I hate delaying gratification, so a big, long book doesn't do it for me. My solution: right beside my bed and couch, I have stacks of anthologies that hit the spot.

You can imagine my reaction when RP accepted a proposal for a steamy Holiday Anthology entitled Red Garters, Snow and Mistletoe. Catrina Calloway, Tia Fanning, Mia James and I each wrote a story for this book, and it will be in print in December, 2008. This Friday, my novella, Unwrap Me, I'm Yours, is being released in e-book format on www.ResplendencePulbishing.com. I'm so excited about this story and I believe you'll enjoy it, too.

Jonathan (Jon) is Hope's Edward. He is dreamy, arrogant, sexy, and ohhhh so self-assured. To top it all off, he is Hope's Christmas present. You see, Hope can be any one of us girls. She is cheated on by her college sweetheart with her cousin and leaves home to avoid contact with them. Her cousin's betrayal stings more than the ex's, but the no-control-d**k-head doesn't want to go away. He keeps showing up at family gatherings and charms the family into accepting his lying butt. To preserve her sanity, Hope makes excuses to stay away for Thanksgiving. She creates a boyfriend and the need to visit his parents. Then, right before Christmas, Hope is pushed to the edge and announces that she got engaged the same weekend that the ex and her cousin were married. Now she needs to bring that fiancé home for the holidays! Enter, Jon, the sexy café owner who has made her a latte addict.

I hope you enjoy the same type of holiday reads that I do: short, quick, and stocked with passion. Let me know, how do you like them? Long and slow? Or short and direct? Remember, we're talking about holiday reads!!!

Tonight, I'm doing a live chat at Coffee Time Romance with fellow erotic romance authors, Lyn Armstrong and Tina Holland. Drop by around nine EST for fun and prizes. http://www.coffeetimeromance.com/Chat.html .

Please be sure to visit me at www.MySpace.com/DemiAlexLetsLoose and join my contest for a free download of Unwrap Me, I'm Yours. Then don't forget to order the anthology and fill your friends' stockings.

Happy Thanksgiving.

Xoxo,

Demi Alex

What a great blurb! I'm a big fan of anthos, especially this time of year with less time for everything ;) Congrats on the release!

Sorry I'm late for the party, girl...your story sounds just like my cup of...latte! I like them long and hot, of course. Congrats on both projects! M:)

I need my reading fix in a multitude of places, so I keep reading material at my bedside, in the bathroom, and in the car. Bedtime and car reading (for long waits in dr's offices) is a romance, mystery, or sci fi novel. For shorter bathroom times, I take newsletters from all the orgs I belong to, along with a yellow highlighter. It's just enough time to read one article.

Thanks, ladies. I know we all need our 'fix' of one kind or the other. lol
Jon will do fine for now...I'm off to get inspired by him and prepare for Christmas.
Have a Happy Thanksgiving.
