Since this is my first post on the Resplendence authors' group blog, I guess I should introduce myself. Try not to yawn--at least, not so loudly that I can hear it. Okay?
Well, this is me. I write books. And I love doing it! What's that you say? My post has to be longer than five lines? Well...maybe I could go into a little more detail.
I feel very fortunate to be a part of the Resplendence Publishing family. RP has taken a chance on me, you know. Although I'm not young, I'm very new to the publishing business. My stories have been described as "just enough spice, but the lid's still on the jar." And for some reason my writing "voice" includes a certain amount of dry humor. Not sure how that happened.
My current titles are Midnight in Legend, TN, a novella in the LADIES OF LEGEND: FINDING HOME anthology, and Christmas Collision, a novella in the anthology A LEGENDARY CHRISTMAS. The Legend book series is written by Maddie James, Jan Scarbrough, Janet Eaves, and me. We're excited to see that our imaginary town of Legend, Tennessee is becoming real to our readers, as it has to us. People have said to me many times, "I want to go to Legend!" or "I want to stay in the B&B!" I consider that pretty high praise. We have a lovely website dedicated just to our town and its stories. Take a stroll through Legend, Tennessee.
My other current title with Resplendence is The Blank Book. It is also contemporary romance, but with a paranormal element...The Blank Book itself. There are several funny moments, too. Like the way Alice's poor husband died. I actually killed him off a couple of different ways before I settled on...well, best not to tell, I suppose. Just a hint: There are donkeys involved.
Here's the book blurb:
Alice
Thousands of miles away, Robert is having the same dream as
The Blank Book. What would you do if you could write your future?
If you go to the dictionary and look up the word quidnunc, the name of Alice's hometown, you will see one of the problems she has with the craziness going on in her life.
That's definitely enough about me. But as a reward, if you suffered through all this, you can take the rest of the day off. Put your feet up. Um...read a book!

What a great post, Mag! I'm looking forward to reading the anthologies, but Blank Books sounds wonderful. It's nice to learn a little more about you...M:)
Thanks for dropping my, Minnette. THE BLANK BOOK is very dear to me, and I'm glad it sounds wonderful to you.
So... You made it all the way to the end of my post!?!
Well, then! Enjoy your day off!
:)

Of course I *meant* to say thanks for dropping *BY*, Minnette. I think I'm still suffering from the soporific effects of yesterday's turkey dinner.
I probably should not be blogging, or operating a motor vehicle, today.

Great post, Magdalena. Hey, I didn't know that was what quidnunc meant! I thought you made that up. Ha! Perfect.

Maddie,
Thanks for taking the time to look it up in a dictionary! I started with a thesaurus in order to choose the town's name. Twisted, huh?
